It's not to complicated or in depth as other transport games like Transport Fever, but it's fun. I like that there are a lot of options to research and a lot of locomotives to chose from. It still won't stop me from playing Transport Fever, but it's a good change once in a while.Check out my video if you want to see some gameplay footage:https://youtu.be/59oMQqj3q7c. Had to refund the game after playing the tutorial and parts of the first mission. The timed objectives were a real disappointment; I want to be able to build interesting and efficient railroad networks, not be worked towards a single objective, constantly having to worry about completing side objectives before the main one times out and I miss out on experience. Not being able to determine which directions the trains travel along my double track was kind of irritating as well and the overall performance of the game was sub par. Especially laying track is tanking frames, making actually building the rail a little bit of a nightmare as half the clicks aren't being registered by the engine. As a transport and train enthusiast I had to find out - to my surprise - that this is not a game for me. All in all I expect more of a game from a 22\u20ac purchase, even if it is in early access. An available sandbox mode maybe would have persuaded me to not refund it, I am glad that it is at least shown as a planned feature.. I love business dev games and RR games in particular. I'm just going to list my favorite aspects of all the games. One game does not have it all which is why I am always excited about new games in the genre. I have not played Sid Meiers but include transport fever and OTC. RRT2 +3 are my favs in the genre. stock market- Equity ownership and personal money is something I was disappointed with in RWE. industry ownership- games are always iffy about whether theyre going to focus on just railroads or incorporate the economy.goods flow- RRT3 had a good system of natural industry good flows. It made building routes intuitive. real world rail traffic- possibly the best contribution of RWE to the genre. It really makes the genre challenging and maybe a bit limiting at all levels. Transport fever- does a good job scaling the expenses of a system over time. Also, last mile trucking is a very enjoyable idea this game incorporates from open transport. so far I dont see many of my favorite aspects of the genre incorporated. I expected with a name like rr corporation youd at least have a stock market.... Rail traffic is interesting. I like it so far at the beginning levels.. Great game so far and it seems to be a fresh take on the RR strategy game while keeping with many of the genre's traditions. I'm looking forward to see how this game develops, but it feels pretty solid so far.. i will quit playing this game till the sandbox mode comes available, then i will come back because mission 2 is hard,. Please ignore any of the feedback telling you the game is to hard, this could be corrected by adding difficulty settings. This game will probably include these in a later update. As an early access this game a very strong release, it is a real strategic challenge, The core concept of the game is outstanding, I'm a train goof and Ive wanted something like this for ages, I'm so glad you done this properly! Please Please Please add more train selection. The game is enjoyable to learn, fun to play, and the tech trees are well thought out, the maps are decent and the cities varying needs keep the game interesting.Things i hope change: The UI could be improved with a few animated gears (its a little boring). The game play needs to be much less linear (more contract selection). There are also a few game breaking bugs to fix (like the monthly tax coming out daily). Also the days are far to short. would also be nice to see a day and night cycle.. The game would not even start for me. Had to return it. Would have loved to give this game a try.. I am rewriting my review as I Have now played 11(bug and glitch free) hours and am on Mission 4 Carolina's and have the Dewitt Clinton, John Bull, and the Best Friend fully upgraded and the Jervis almost fully upgraded. I have yet to complete the objectives e.g. time or efficiency ... however I have been allowed to continue while still earning some experience to spend on training bonus stats and play at my own enjoyable pace. Railroad Tycoon was an awesome game and I played all of them for many hours. I have also played Railroad Empires. Sid Meier's Railroads and many others. Railroad corporation takes the best of those games IMHO and brings them to 2019.. Not a bad little game at this point. One of the previous reviewers said there was no way to lock the camera on a particular train and follow it. That is not true. All you have to do is select the train you want to follow from the list in the upper left hand corner and then click on the picture of the train in the lower left. The camera now follows this train. I have a good feeling about this one. The graphics and sound are pretty good. It is early access. I hope the developers take this all the way. I am going to hang with them. Nice start !. I loved playing RRT3 and this looks promising. The missions are challenging and you need to organize well to accomplish them. There are some bugs and things to improve. Update 01: Balance & Time Limits: Hi everyone! One of the most common concerns we received since the release from players is a time limit set in campaign missions. In this quick patch, No.01, we are tweaking these limits so players are not pushed too hard to finish the mission fast, but for those who manage to complete tasks fast enough; there's an experience bonus you can earn.To see these changes, let the game automatically update through Steam and start a new campaign from the main menu. If you're in the middle of a mission now, the next mission will also reflect these changes.Of course, there are other critical issues we see and we are working on them already, too. Still, we decided to release this fix to not delay its delivery of what we think will improve gameplay experience right away.We appreciate all feedback, especially during this Early Access period, and we will take all of your comments and suggestions in consideration to further improve the game. We have exciting plans for Railroad Corporation in Early Access and we'll have a roadmap to share, soon!Thank you for your support!Love,The Corbie Games team.
